2nd Cultural Experience in Suwon :)

Hello everyone!

Since I am a Cultural Ambassador of Suwon I have been very lucky to meet people from around the world, be introduced to Korean culture, get to know more about the city and have lots of fun with new friends :) As part of the Cultural Ambassadors program we meet once a month and try different activities. This month's theme was Suwon Theatre Festival which takes place for five days, between 1-5 May. As cultural ambassadors, first we met at the Suwon Cultural Foundation and then started our activities. Everything was so much fun! I feel thankful to the foundation for giving us foreigners the chance to experience the Korean culture so closely.. 

Touring Suwon ^^

First we went to Suwon Yongdong Artfora and learned calligraphy and had fun drawing on our personal fans :)

Later we went to the Center for Intangible Cultural Assets (무형문화재전수회관) and first watched amazing performances from Korean dancers. 

After this, we learned the traditional drum dance (소고춤) which, I think was the most fun part of the day :D 

We even received the drums as a present <3

 Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay longer for the performances since I live so far away.. But I had a great day in all. Looking forward to the next Suwon tour! :)
